Children Eco-awareness Programme – JICA Project

The organisation was selected to work in UP Forest Zone-1 Forest Area of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, Dudhwa Tiger Reserve and Kishanpur Wildlife Reserve for creating awareness among children in 75 schools in coordination with Divisional Forest Officer on forest, wildlife with environment education in schools with eco-tourism. This programme was implemented from 2012 till 2016 in Pilibhit and Kheri forest divisions with funding from JICA through Government of Uttar Pradesh.

New Montessori Public School

SEVAK is running government recognised pre-matric school for weaker sections the society at Pilibhit. It serves 500 to 550 students. The school is managed by a separate management committee.

Childline-Helpline

The Childline Foundation, Mumbai, and Government of India, New Delhi, selected SEVAK as a collaborative partner organisation to run Childline helpline, a national 24 hours free phone emergency outreach in Pilibhit. Childline tackles cases of abused, runway and trafficked children.

NCPUL Study Centre

SEVAK was selected by National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) for running one year diploma course in Urdu language. Accordingly, it is running Urdu Study Centre since 2010. The programme is run on distance education pattern and is funded by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Payayan Sudhar Sansthan (PSS) Eco-rural Tourism

PSS, a sister concern of the organisation, is working for environment, forest and wildlife protection research, survey for habitat development, environment protection and education, eco-rural tourism, etc. It is headed by retired Provincial Forest Service officials and veteran wildlife and forest activists. Started in 1987, PSS is at present working as expert faculty for environment education and eco-tourism in 75 schools of Pilibhit and Kheri districts.
